Analysis: Januzaj outstanding

As the Reds got back to winning ways on Saturday via a 2-0 Barclays Premier League home win over Swansea, it was United's boy wonder Adnan Januzaj who again took the plaudits after another impressive display.

Although not on the scoresheet himself, the Belgian-born attacker's eye-catching performance was enough for United fans on Twitter to name him Man of the Match, taking 71% of the vote ahead of Shinji Kagawa and Antonio Valencia, the three players nominated by MUTV matchday pundit David May.

Januzaj had a hand in both goals and many other good attacking moves that the Reds created, so former United left-back Arthur Albiston enjoyed dissecting the 18-year-old's performance in MUTV's The Big Match De-Brief programme.

"He looks as if he's been in the first team for over five years, he's just so confident," the Scot said. "He plays with no fear and has got great vision. We watched him play in the youth teams as a striker but he's more than effective out wide too.

"Eventually I see him doing a similar job in the middle to Mesut Ozil at Arsenal, although I think he'll have more goals in him because he used to play up front. He doesn't get fazed when he gets into the box."
